2022 Parol Making Workshops
Parol lanterns are the quintessential Filipino symbol of hope, blessings, and luck during the holiday season.
Want to learn how to make a traditional Filipino parol?
Sign up for our free, family-friendly, open-to-all parol making workshops!
$20 suggested donation/ $10 for seniors and youth. Sliding scale options available.
All workshops are from 2-5 PM hosted at the YBCA Grand Lobby (701 Mission Street).

On December 10, 2022, the streets of SOMA Pilipinas will be adorned with bright and glistening Filipino parols.
Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of San Francisco’s Parol Lantern Festival with specialty parols made by our local Filipino artists and creators, free samples of Filipino holiday treats, live music, and a parol lighting ceremony.
